Modeling and Dynamic Response Analyzing of a Vehicle System Considering the Effect of Structural Flezibility

Coupled rigid and flexible dynamics equation was proposed based on rigid multi-body dynamics and flexible body dynamics theories. Discrete flexible low control arm model was introduced into double wishbone front suspension of whole vehicle system model using multibody dynamic software. Through results comparison from rigid bodies model, the effect of flexible structure on lateral and vertical directions dynamic responses of vehicle body centroid and low control arm were studies, and the effect of flexible structure under differ velocity and road surface on dynamic responses were also studied, which offered useful experience for more accurate vehicle modeling.
