A New Homodyne Detection Scheme for the Interferometric Fiber-Optic Hydrophone System
A new scheme for the signal detection of optical-fiber hydrophone system has been developed. An improvement based on the traditional model of homodyne detection has been made. An overview of the system concepts as well as the main components and some test results are presented, which includes the analysis of homodyne detection model, the establishment of virtual instrument software, the data acquisition, and the system experiment test etc. The experimental results indicated that the system has a good performance for the unit hydrophone measurement, which can well be extended to the applications for the hydrophone array systems.
