Research of Measurement System for Projectile Velocity of Reconnection Electromagnetic Launchers
Reconnection electromagnetic launcher can launch heavier projectile to high velocity in a short distance, so the projectile velocity is one of the main technical specifications and must be measured accurately. In this paper, its basic working principles are described according to an experimental electromagnetic launch device, then a measurement system for projectile velocity is designed, and the block diagrams of main circuits are analyzed. Interference sources and their countermeasures of the velocity-measuring system are researched. Finally, a series of experimental researches on projectile velocity of reconnection electromagnetic launcher are finished with the measurement system.
