Simulation of LEMP and Its Radiation Effects to Digital Circuits
A simulation device of LEMP, which is composed of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) generator and a set of PPTC, is introduced. Potential distribution in PPTC is analyzed though potential distribution by analyzing Laplaces equation. And E-field distribution is derived through the grads of electric potential. A digital circuit is taken as an experimental objects, the coupling of LEMP to digital circuits is studied. A signal line in circuit is made in rectangular shape to receive radiation interference. By changing strength and polarity of EMP field, and DUT type in radiation experiments, coupling rules of EMP to digital circuits are discussed.
