A type of measure and control system for electromagnetic rail gun
In this paper, a type of measure-and-control system for electromagnetic rail gun was reported. The power of electromagnetic rail gun was carried out by capacitor discharging, its voltage was higher to 10KV, and discharging current was higher to MA level, So the most important things for the measure-and-control system was to keep the safety of operator and equipment, and to keep electromagnetic rail gun working natural. Because of the very strong electromagnetism disturbing, conventional electric signal transmission method was replaced with optics signal transmission. The signal from master computer was converted to optical signal, and then the signal was separated to several signal and transmitted by optical fiber to the power module, to touch off power module synchronous, the trigger signal channel and measure signal channel were separated because of their independence. Using this system we could touch off different power supply under scheduled timing sequence, and we could measured the working state of every power module, and also we could obtained the charging current of power module and the interior trajectory parameter.
