Preparation and Characterization of a New Electromagnetic Shielding Composites
To improve electromagnetic shielding performance of the expanded graphite,a new electromagnetic shielding nano-composites(γ-Fe2O3/expanded graphite) was prepared by sol-gel process and self-propagating low temperature synthesis technology. The heat released by combustion of dried gel could swell the exfoliated graphite to worm-like EG. Nano-particlesγ-Fe2O3, the products of combustion were coated uniformly on the surface or internal holes of expanded graphite when the exfoliated graphite swelling. By using the coaxial network analyzer, electromagnetic shielding performance testing was carried out, the result of test showed when PH is 6 ~7, and load ofγ-Fe2O3 is 20wt%~30wt%, a comparatively satisfactory comprehensive shielding performance of the composite material could be achieved.
