The Design of Micro Vibration Generator Based on Piezoelectric with Wide Bandwidth

The micro vibration generator based on piezoelectric usually uses single cantilever-mass, which is featured with narrow frequency bandwidth and cant meet the actual situation that the frequency of ambient vibration is floating in a certain range. In this paper, two structures of multi-cantilever-mass are proposed; the working principle of the structures is analyzed; the simulation model of the piezoelectric vibration based multi-beam-mass generator by ANSYS software is built; the performance of the two structures, including the resonant frequency and the characteristic curve of voltage-frequency are simulated; the size of the structure is optimized. The bandwidth of the designed structure is about 3-4 times wider than the generator with single cantilever-mass structure. It can be used as the power source of wireless sensor networks, embedded sensor systems and so on.
