Measurement of Density Resolution of Industrial Computer Tomography
This paper introduces a simple and practical method of measuring the density resolution of ICT. Based on density change of the sample which can be calculated by the volume change of the sample, a bigger organic glass disk (with the 30 bores of diameter) is designed for the measuring of BT-400 ICT density resolution. The CT results of the measurement zone and the contrast zone show that the CT value reduces when d (the bore diameter) increases, or L (the distance between the bore and the center of glass disk) increases. The density resolution would enhance with L increasing. The 0.2% density resolution may be measured in the test. Test results show that this method is a simple, practical and accurate to measure the density change of the matter.
