Research and implementation of the automobile crankshaft runout testing system

In this paper, an automobile crankshaft runout testing system was designed based on microcontroller unit(MCU) C8051F040,LVDT measuring head, signal conditioner AD698 and displacement transducer.The work principle of the system was also introduced. With the displacement transducer and angle servo system,implemented online the meansurement of the parameters of the crankshaft runout,meanwhile the runout data is processed by adopting the least square method and vector model transformation.The experiment testifies that the tested result accords with the real crankshaft deformation.
