Research on Rigid-Flezible Coupling Dynamic Modeling for High Mobility Tracked Vehicles
A three-dimensional rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model is developed for performance evaluating and forecasting of high-mobility tracked vehicles in this article. The modeling method is based on multi-body system dynamic theory and mode superposition technology. In the model, track systems of the vehicle are treated as rigid bodies with the hull modeled as a flexible body, which is connected to rigid components by revolute joints. So road actuator can be transported to flexible hull by revolute joints in real times, the border condition of the hull is more coincident with the actual operate mode of hull. Vehicle vibration experiment results show that this vehicle model is validity and credible. The model can be used for testing the structural strength of hull virtually, structure optimization, dynamic analysis of vehicles, etc. The modeling method provides an assistant means for design, evaluation and maintenance of high mobility tracked vehicles.
