Design of the Photoionization Detector for the Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds
According to the photoionization principle, a portable, high sensitivity, fast response detector is designed.And the detector can be used for real-time detection of the toxic and harmful gases or steams continuously at the scene, in particularly of volatile organic gases or steams.The photoionization source of the detector is a kind of photon energy of 10.6 eV vacuum ultraviolet radiation source.The ionization chamber is the superposition of several insulating spacers.The electrodes that collect resulting ions using an electrical field parallel to the ultraviolet light propagation are placed among these spacers.The detector uses pump-absorption operation and shortens response time. C8051F040 is selected as microcontroller in the hardware circuit,and the volume is reduced to some extent.
