The Research of tracking algorithm of micro-miniature missile imaging seeker
We proposed an improved algorithm for the imaging seeker which used for the micro-miniature missile. The missile equipped with the imaging seeker can be used to strike the moving vehicle and fixed-point target in the field of anti-terrorism and short distance attack. It has the characters of easy carrying, fast launching, precise attacking and low cost. The paper analyzes several typical tracking algorithms, including intensity-based method and correlation-based method. As a result, the improved sequential similarity detection algorithm (SSDA) satisfies the application. The algorithm is designed to be applied in real time and is divided in two components: an intra-frame processing and an inter-frame processing. The intra-frame processing is based on the phase correlation principle which executes template matching on each frame. The inter-frame processing traces the target trajectory and is able to anti-shield or anti-lost of the target. The proposed algorithm is suitable for implementation on embedded system, such as DSP and FPGA., which guarantees the real-time performance of the algorithm.
