Development and Application of KFF-AGC System in Hot Strip Mills
The thickness precision is an important quality index of the hot rolled strip. The strip temperature turbulence is a key factor to the thickness deviation in hot strip mills. The resolve scheme using KFF-AGC (hardness feed-forward AGC) is put forward and a system of mathematical models that describes the KFF-AGC control algorithm are developed. The KFF-AGC system is developed and applied to the 850mm hot strip mills. The results are that the better strip thickness quality, the more stability of strip rolling process and less roll force deviation of F6 and F7 on downstream stands for better performance of strip profile and flatness control in hot strip mills.
