The Digital Universal Ezcitation Controller for Small Power Stations
The excitation regulators have kinds of types, most of which are analog circuits, having single control function and mutually irreplaceable. They are bad in renovation and replacement. The current power stations mostly adopt the isolated component excitation controller by analog voltage signals, which have bad reliability, low regulation precision, and need special excitation regulator for every kind of poser stations. It is harder and harder to suit the power quality requirement of the equipment. On the other hand, it makes the rush repairing difficult1. Therefore, it is very important to study one kind of universal excitation regulator to meet the requirement of most power supply system. This paper designed a small excitation regulator which meets the stations with excitation current under 15A. Taking the price quality rating and practical demands into consideration, the control chip 80C196KC of the Intel Company as the fuzzy control theory were joined to design the universal excitation regulator.
