Wireless radon monitoring system based on GPRS
A radon wireless monitoring system is introduced. It consists of a transparent crystal (ZnS) that fluoresces when struck by radiation; a sensitive photomultiplier tube (PMT) that measures the light from the crystal; a counter circuit that counts pluses from the PMT and a GPRS module that transfers results of measurement. The monitoring system can be used in the area where the geological hazard occurs frequently.
