A Method of Creative Design Based on Free-form Surface Reverse Engineering
A creative design method is proposed and deduced based on free-form surface reverse engineering. And this method is named regional re-designing. When we only vary one control point by this scheme, some control points in its influence domain are varied automatically according to algebraic rule. But the other control points out of its influence domain would not vary. And regional modification is realized on the free-form surface. According to this method, the creative and pleased product could be obtained, such as the application on recovery of sculpture reverse engineering.
