Measurement of Spinning Projectiles Trajectory via High-Dynamic GNSS Receiver
A GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver for trajectory measurement of spinning projectile is discussed here in trajectory correction fuze. The rotation demodulation loop is specially designed and added before the carrier loop and PRN code demodulation loop to demodulate and measure the rotation-modulated signals. If the roll angle estimate matches the actual roll angle, three loops act at the same time and the correlation output will be maximized. Otherwise, the correlation magnitude will be reduced. As a result, the modulation demodulator maintains a measure of the rotation angle. In addition, a parallel technique is utilized for enhancing the quick search and track abilities. With the knowledge of vehicle trajectory, the absolute vehicle orientation may be determined.
