Research on the Aviation Barometric Altitude Simulating Device
Based on the measuring theory of aviation barometric altimeter, the relationship between the atmospheric pressure and the aircraft flying height has been analyzed. The simulating scheme producing static and dynamic characters of aviation barometric altitude to test barometric altimeters with accuracy, reliability and economy is described. A pneumatic pressure control device using two proportional valves has been developed. Double sensors and double feed back closed loops are introduced in this system. The analog sensor acts as the process control sensor to ensure the control process performance. The digital sensor acts as the standard sensor to guarantee the accuracy of the output pressure. At the meantime, the micro computer converts the setting altitude to the pressure value according to the equation of the altitude and the atmospheric pressure. Its pressure output range is 0~120kPa absolute. The pressure output accuracy is 0.01%FS. The simulating altitude uncertainty is less than 1.5m.
