The Complezity Measure Analysis of Oil-air-water Three-phase Flow Pattern Image in Vertical Upward Pipe
To discuss the relationship between complexity measurements extracted from gray image time series and flow pattern change in gas-liquid two-phase flow in the vertical pipes. In this essay two kinds of measurements of complexity(Lempel-Ziv complexity 、fractural box dimension ) are abstracted from pictures of the oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow pattern in the vertical pipe and these pictures were taken by the high-speed photography system under 60 different kinds of flow conditions, and three kinds of measurements of complexity(Lempel-Ziv complexity 、 power spectrum entropy and approximate entropy) of the continuous gray time sequence of the images videos are abstracted. Comparing the complexity measurements of two signals, based on this, this essay analyzed the chaos dynamic characteristics of five complexity measures in different gas superficial velocity and the ability to express the oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow pattern. The experimental results indicated that the five complexity measurements were sensitive to the flow pattern change in oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow. By analyzing the laws of five complexity measures with the changes of oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow parameters, we could get the dynamics structure inversion characters of oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow, and an efficient, supplementary diagnostic tool is provided to reveal the flow pattern change mechanism of oil-gas-liquid three-phase flow and quantitatively identify flow pattern.
