The Influencing Factors of Hydrate Formation in Well Mouth of Gas Storage with Salt Caverns
Natural gas hydrates are crystalline compounds, like ice that is formed by gas and water under certain temperature and pressure. Gas hydrates formed in the well mouth of gas storage decreases the pressure of down stream, which will obstruct the gas transportation. To avoid forming of gas hydrates in the well mouth, the influence factors of gas hydrates formation in the well mouth are studied. First of all, the running condition of the well mouth of gas storage is analyzed. The rudimental brine in salt caverns forming process and the continuous cycle of injection and production in operation of gas storage caverns makes the condition of the well mouth more possible in the range of hydrates formation. Secondly, the sensitive degree of the main gas components will influence on gas hydrates formation is discussed. These conclusions can provide the theoretic reference to prevent gas hydrate formation in well mouth of gas storage.
