Research on the Driving Technology of Traveling Wave on Airfoil

The flow control technology can enhance the performance of the aircraft. The computer simulation indicates that the traveling wave of flow direction on the wing surface can reduce the drag obviously. The scheme of traveling wave deformation skin is designed, and the parameters of the deformation structure are calculated. The magnet-coil method is chose to achieve the traveling wave deformation of the wing skin. Twelve 50-turn coils whose phases are 30 degrees different from each other can make up a cycle of the traveling wave. In order to control the deformation, a signal circuit, a phase-shift circuit and a power amplifier circuit are designed, and PCB board is made and tested. The total testing system is made up, and a laser vibrometer is used to measure the magnitude and phase features of the skin. According to the test results, the vibration state of the skin is re-constructed. The power and efficiency issues are studied.
