Temperature Character of Stimulated Raman Scattering Spectra of Silica Fiber
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS)spectra is studied under different temperature condition of silica fiber. The influence of temperature on feature of SRS spectra is analyzed on theory and experiment. The laws of Raman frequency-shift 、bandwidth and intensity of the first order Stokes light changing with temperature are obtained under the action of Q-controled double frequency YAG laser. The experiments indicate that the frequency-shift increases with the temperature rising. Raman frequency-shift is linear relationship with temperature. Under the same pump power, when the temperature is low, the order of SRS spectrum is low too. Low temperature depresses high order Stokes light. To high order Stokes lights, the lower temperature is, the higher threshold is. But the changes of spectrum bandwidth is not linear relationship with temperature, there is a maximum of bandwidth. Theory and experiments indicate that temperature has direct effect on the SRS of fiber.
