A Multi-function Signal Generator Based on DDS Chip AD9852
In this paper, after a brief review of the working principle of DDS, a microcontroller controlled DDS based multi-signal generator design is proposed. The significant part of the hardware and software design consideration is fully illustrated. The system consists of a AD9852 based DDS signal generator module, a AT89S51 MCU control module, a keyboard input module, a LCD display module, a filter module and a power amplifier module. Microcontroller AT89S51 accepts keyboard input and reacts with programmed control actions, which control the DDS chip AD9852 to generate required sinusoidal, sine or square signal in 0Hz ~100MHz. Also, many different types of modulation are possible.
