Design of IMU Data-Acquisition System Based on FPGA
This paper introduces the design and implementation of IMU(inertial measure unit) data-acquisition system based on FPGA, especially the hardware compose of the minimal system. The hardware architecture chart of the each circuit and the characteristic of the chips are offered. We design the UART circuit with VHDL and plot out four modules according to the functions of FPGA. The designing method and controlling flow of each module are discussed in detail. This system can gather the data of the IMU effectively. The system has been used to gather the date of the IMU based on MEME inertial apparatus successfully, the result of the application indicates that the system works effectively and reliably.
