Design and Structural Analysis of Large Composite Wind Turbine Blade
Motion status and stress of large composite wind turbine blade is very complicated. In order to improve its performance, quality and fatigue life, static analysis and dynamic analysis must be done on its design stage. To 1.0MW wind turbine blade and its composite laminate result, based on composite laminate theory and finite element analysis, stress-strain analysis and modal analysis have been done. Analysis results show that the stiffness and strength of wind turbine blade meet the demand. The main vibration is shown as bending vibration, and waving vibration plays more influence on blade. The foundation of dynamics analysis and fatigue life for the composite wind turbine is established.
