A Precise EOQ Model for Seasonal Demand Variations

摘要：

Variations in seasonal demand may persist in many high-tech industries. However, the classical EOQ model is not suitable for solving seasonal demand variations optimality. In view of such problem, this paper proposes a precise EOQ model with a fixed periodic review policy that yields a precise solution for treating seasonal demand variations. The precise solution thus obtained helps decision-makers make the best possible decision for their inventory problems with seasonal demand variations. Finally, an illustrative example and computational experience are added to demonstrate the usefulness and superiority of the proposed precise model.
