The Impact of Quality Culture on Quality Practices Customization

While quality management practices have been widely implemented among practitioners and intensively studied for more than half a century, they are still the myth in that companies like Toyota experienced remarkable success of total quality management (TQM) but others failed in the journey (Douglas and Judge 2001). In the academic world, the myth implies that there still lacks of conclusive evidence of its impact of performance. To resolve the myth, two issues need to be considered.
