It takes Chinese Miao nationality’s silver ornament industry as an object to study, and tries to analyze and demonstrate that though most Chinese national characterized traditional industries are still in the least significant end of global value chain’s added value and their international competitiveness is quite weak, there is still much improving potential. The development path is moving from “both the national brands and substitution manufacture jointly share the market to “the national brands play a major role, and then to “develop the national brands without substitution manufacture. The path combines the national crafts of the silver ornaments of Miao with modern producing methods; it increases the international competence of the industry. It is a suitable path for entering into the global market. As for the current level and target of Chinese economy, the manufactures of national characterized traditional products shall quicken their industrialization steps, carry forward national culture and strengthen national brand through providing cheap and high-quality OEM products for countries all over the world, consequently establish the big-country’s advantaged Chinese national characterized traditional industries.
