Review on the Researches of the 1.5 Sigma Process Shift

摘要：

The 1.5 sigma process shift is an important concept and value in Six Sigma quality initiative, but it has been many confusions and doubts on this value. This paper, with the main line of the research process, introduces the origin, the development and the statistical reason of the 1.5 sigma process shift and its debates. Finally we illustrate some opinions and the prospects of further research on the 1.5 sigma shift.
