Study on Spatial Variability of Soil Organic Matter Based on Matlab and Geo-statistics

Due to the high variability of soil, the spatial distribution non-uniformity of soil organic matter which is one of important indicators of soil fertility makes the representative samples collection in the agricultural chemical analysis of soil more difficult. The Gannan county of Heilongjiang province was selected as the study area, based on geo-statistics, using Matlab to program. By the analysis of conventional statistical characteristics and semi-variance of soil organic matter in the area, the best theoretical model of semi-variance and its related parameters were obtained, and the spatial correlation length is 50.92m.The organic matter has spatial correlation with moderate degree in the area. According to the parameters, the characteristics of spatial variability of organic matter were discussed, which can provide some reference for the study of precise agriculture in the area.
