As the nuclear power rapidly developed and the uranium demand continuously grew, thenew method of geophysical survey and data processing techniques were urgently needed to extractuseful weak information in order to enhance the prospecting success rate. The paper was based on thisbackground, and adequately analyzed the characteristics of the prospecting data in radioactivegeophysics, and then the collecting data of some mining area in southern China were used as theapplication example, on which the fractal theory which was one of the statistical methods was used tomine the hidden information of the data. The hidden information obtained were explained and comparedaccording to the geological and geophysical data in the work area. The results showed that it wasfeasible to apply the fractal theory to the hidden information mining of radioactive geophysical data.
