Learning Strategies of EFL Learners on E-Learning Platform: How Statistics Matters in College English Innovation

This study conducts a survey research on the E-learning strategies of 106 EFL learners on E-learning platform with a refined questionnaire based on Oxford’s Strategy Inventory of Language Learning. Statistics via SPSS16.0 indicate a strong need for lower grade college students to improve their E-learning strategies. Based on the statistical data, strategy training is conducted among subjects in experimental group. Survey data indicate more variety and more frequency of strategy use by EFL learners who receive strategy training. Quasi-experimental results also show positively the role of strategy training in enhancing E-learning outcome. This study, meanwhile, reveals the significance of statistics in College English Innovation.
