The Analyses of Migration Cost & Taz Policy’s Effect on the Stability of Regional Industry Agglomeration
On the foundation of the core periphery model, this article analyzes industry agglomeration and the reasons of labor migration cost from the perspective of institution, and the ways how to undertake the migration cost, and so on. On the suppositions that the government should undertake the labor migration cost by tax revenue, and that tax revenue should come from commodity tax, it introduces variables that are labor migration cost and tax into the core periphery model, and gives a new core periphery model with the variables of tax and migration cost. It discusses the stability and the conditions of the new core periphery model’s equilibrium. It obtains that under the tax policy of government undertaking labor migration cost, the smaller the tax rate is, the stronger the stability of the new core periphery model’s equilibrium is, at the same time, the more easily population and industry agglomeration comes into being.
