Analysis and Measurement of China’s Dualistic Economic Structure – Agricultural and Non-agricultural Sector, and Road towards Urbanization
This paper analyses and compares the duality of China’s income and productivities ----sharp disparities between the urban and rural areas, and measures the dualistic structure of the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors by using the dualistic comparison coefficient and the dualistic difference coefficient. China’s dual economy is a classical dualistic economy due to its qualification for the conditions of the latter. The acceleration of China’s urbanization is a long term choice to narrow the gap between the urban and rural areas and to transform China’s economy from the dualistic economy to unified economy.
