Statistical Analysis of Employment Situation of the Undergraduates in China

Due to the heavy employment pressure, people pay much attention to the employment of the undergraduates. Therefore, this paper puts forward a statistical model to study this issue, where thirteen parameters are involved. We first perform the quantitative and the standardized operations to the measuring indexes, and then study the importance of each parameter by principal component analysis (PCA), where correlated matrix’s, eigenvalues and variance contribution rates are employed to sort these parameters according to their importance. Our study ranks them by their influence, and indicates the three most important parameters: university, major and location.
