Grey Relational Analysis of Three Gorge Resettlement Engineering and Regional Economy
The Three Gorge resettlement engineering has the characteristics of long duration and wide range. Special favorable policies and large-scale investments can have great influences on Three Gorge area economy. This paper analyses the relationship between resettlement engineering and regional economic development in a quantitative view with grey relational analysis method. Eight indexes related to the resettlement engineering are considered as the reference sequences and five indexes related to the regional economy are considered as the comparison sequences in the paper, and then, an empirical research is taken on F city, a resettlement-involved city in Three Gorge area. Results reveal that resettlement compensation investment, immigration training and counterpart aid have different strong correlations with regional economic development.
