Simulation Analysis of Eccentricity of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
In order to optimize the back EMF waveform of PMSM, reduce harmonic, the torque ripple, noise vibration and consumption of iron, and also increase the efficiency of the motor, the waveform of no-load airgap flux density of radial v-shaped permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is analyzed in this paper. The asymmetric airgap of PMSM is presented and studied to improve the waveform distribution. The relation between eccentricity and airgap flux field is analyzed through finite element analysis, and thus the optimal eccentricity is derived and adopts to optimize the asymmetric airgap to obtain a no-load airgap flux density with sinusoidal distribution, which is verified by FEM calculation and experiment result.
