Bipolar Pulsed Discharge in the Gas-liquid-solid Mizture and Its Application for Water Treatment
Bipolar pulsed discharge in the Gas-liquid -solid mixture was studied using a packed bed plasma reactor with gas bubbling. Effect of different packings on the treatment performance was investigated. Light emission and the active species formed during the discharge process were measured. Experimental results proved that bipolar pulsed discharge in the packed bed reactor with gas bubbling had a good performance on dye water decolorization. Color removal rate increased with the applied voltage. Packings had great influence on the color removal of the wastewater. Emission spectrum of the bipolar pulsed discharge in water-air mixture had a wider range and higher intensity. In addition, the concentration of the active species generated in the bipolar pulsed discharge system was proved to be higher than other studies.
