An estimation suited for VBR service parameters in the ATM network

摘要：

An estimation suited for network VBR(Variable bit rate) service parameters in the ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) network In order to guarantee the quality of service in the ATM network effectively satisfied users request, this paper proposed a new kind of method to estimate the service parameters in the VBR ON/OFF source model. According to different service parameters, this method could satisfy the QoS (quality of service) request by the smallest network cost. The simulation result indicated that: in order to achieve the lowest call cost, the user would use low network cost to decide the value of service parameter. QoS achieved 10-6.
