A new Newton-type method with third-order convergence

摘要：

A new third-order method is presented to solve the systems of nonlinear equations. The method can be viewed as a modification of Potm-Ptak method for systems of nonlinear equations.Compared with Potra-Ptak method, the new method is more robust and efficient. Numerical results show that the new method can be of practical interest.
