A New Algorithm for Solving Block-tridiagonal Systems of Linear Equations

摘要：

In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for solving block-tridiagonal systems of linear equations. The new algorithm require about the same amount of work as the Thomas algorithm for solving block-tridiagonal system. But the new algorithm can concurrently compute the solution on both directions.Finally, some numerical results are given.
