A variant of Newtons irrational method
We present a new variant of Newtons irrational method. The new method requires an additional evaluation of the function at another point, but the order of convergence is increased from three for the old method to five for the new method. The efficiency indexes is higher than the ones of Newtons irrational method and Newtons method.Numerical results show the new method works better than Newtons irrational method. Finally, based on the new method, a new multistep iteration scheme is developed.
