A class of modified Newton-like methods
An acceleration technique is developed to increase the efficiency and convergent order of Newtons method. Per iteration the new methods require the same evaluations of the function and its first derivative as Newtons method. Analysis of convergence shows that the asymptotic convergent order of these methods is 1 +√3. Therefore these methods works better than Newtons method. Numerical tests verifying the theory are also given.
