A Matriz Analysis of Interspecific Association of Endangered Tree Monimopetalum chinense with Other Dominant Species in Forest Community Succession

Monimopetalum chinense is a local endemic and rare plant species distributed discontinuously in Jiangxi, Hubei and Anhui provinces of China. Because of its own features and the human impacts on natural ecosystems, it is under the threat of extinction and has been ranked as a rare and endangered species. This paper deals with the correlations among 19 dominant species of plant community M.chinense by means of 2×2 contingency table, analysis of matrix and association coefficient (AC), together with the X2-test and percentage of co-occurrence(PC). The interspecific association is not significantly correlative in most of the species-pair in this community.
