A Review on Urban Open Space Study in China
As an indispensable carrier of multiple activities in the city,Open space is occupies an important position on urban planning and construction in foreign countries．In resent years Chinese government notice the harmomous variety affects of the open space in urban ecology,society and economy environment,and then pay more attentions to its planning．The concept of open space is defined asgreen spacein Chinese urban planning and construction which is different from other countries,while it has been extended to more generalized meanings in the urban academic circles．This paper defines the generalized meaning of urban open space,and gives a review to the history of open space study,then summarize the theories and approaches used in this area,points out some deficiency in the previous research works．After that Some new suggestions are put foreword to the researchers that a complete research framework of open space should be constructed．
