A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF THE PROPERTIES OF SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETES MIXED WITH ALKALINE REDOX POTENTIAL WATER
This study investigates the compressive strength and workability of self-compacting concrete mixed with alkaline redox potential water (ARPW) for the first time. A miniature electrolyzer made up of diaphragm electrolytic cells was manufactured to produceARPW.Water is electrolyzed at the electric field strength of 320V/m and the flow velocity of 80ml/s in the experiments. Results show that, compared to tap water samples, the compressive strength of self-compacting concrete mixed with ARPW increased by 15% at the age of 28 days and the workability of it enhanced significantly, indicating that the adding of ARPW helps improving the properties of self-compacting concretes.
