The new Benchmark for 60V Automotive power MOSFETs
This paper presents the new benchmark for 60V automotive power MOSFETs. After the introduction and motivation, why such a concept should be considered for new designs of automotive ECUs, details of the technology itself will be explained. How the special requirements for the automotive applications in terms of quality, high current handling capability in combination with lowest possible on state resistance are considered in that new concept, will be shown. After a benchmarking with the main competitors, the impact and possibilities of the new MOSFET technology will be assessed in a typical automotive application..
