Applications of the Strategic Marketing in the Regional Programme Documents in Tourism

The current economic crisis has also afflicted the branch of tourist movement which had been ranked among the most developing branches up to this crisis.This branch had generated the average annual growth overlapping 5% 9.The Czech Republic (abbr the CR) belongs among countries where tourism represents an important source of entrepreneurial opportunities and revenues.Therefore it is necessary to react to this unfavourable trend on the central as well as local level.The essential change will especially consist of updating of strategic documents of tourism and using of modem tools of the strategic management and marketing.This paper is focused on the regional level of strategic planning in tourism in the CR.As a practical example it analyses the contents of the specific programme document of selected region from the strategic marketings point of view and it calls attention to the missing elements.
