The Job Demands-Resources Model (JD-R) as Predictor of Work Identity and Work Engagement:A Comparative Analysis
Studies on work engagement (WE) using the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model have confirmed that WE is mainly predicted by job resources, particularly when job demands are high. The JD-R model has also been used to predict work-based identity (WBI).A census sampling approach on a population of 23 134 yielded a sample of 2 429 (a response rate of about 10.5%).The application of a general regression model revealed that the JD-R model accounted for more variance in WBI than in WF..It was also found that job demands do not mediate the relationship between job resources and WBI.
