The Influence of Psychological Capital and Self-Evaluation on Work Performance
This study aims to explore the relationship among psychological capital (e.g.,optimism,hope,resilience and generalized self-efficacy,PC for short),self-evaluation (e.g.,self-esteem and locus of control) and supervisor-rated performance in Chinese.Participants were 164 employees from a joint venture oil company.Hierarchical regression analysis showed that on the basis of self-evaluation,PC accounted for 27.5% of task performance,30.9% of altruistic behavior,24.4% of conscientious behavior,and 26.9% of innovation.It showed the different functions of PC on various organizational outcomes.It extends the comprehension and understanding of the concept of psychological capital.
